Whole-Home Renovations North of Boston

Renovating a whole house is different from remodeling one room. Walls come out, floors get leveled, plumbing and electrical get rerouted, and a decision in the kitchen ends up affecting the stairs, the bathrooms and the floor above. Most of the surprises are behind the plaster: framing cut to make room for old pipes, a past addition sitting on no real footing, wiring from three different decades. W&E plans for that before demolition starts, so the project doesn’t change direction halfway through.

What a Renovation Can Include

Opening the floor plan — Removing or reworking walls between rooms, including load-bearing walls replaced with a new beam.

Full-floor updates — Kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces rebuilt together, so the layout works as one plan.

Structural repairs — Leveling floors, reinforcing joists and correcting past work that wasn’t built right.

Stairs & flooring — New staircases and flooring run continuously through the renovated space.

Exterior updates — New siding, roofing, windows and porches as part of the same project.
